I am Mark Navarro: a writer, communications professional, nonprofit specialist, and semi-professional artist and designer.

I have spent my career—spanning over a decade—in nonprofits, education, philanthropy, and more. My educational background, passion for social justice, and love of storytelling led me to a career in nonprofit communications. However, my first love was and is writing.

I hold a bachelor’s degree in creative writing and English from the University of Michigan and a masters of public administration with a focus in nonprofit policy and management from Wayne State University. In my free time, I support Detroit City FC, play games, galavant around Detroit, and try desperately to get back into reading after grad school.
